Books & Debate

• In Search of A Lost Novelist: The Stone Reader: Frank Kermode Deborah Moggach and Mark Moskowitz
  We saw the Stone Reader recently, which was probably the emptiest I'd seen the local picturehouse, but I was impressed by the maker's pure passion for books, reading and writing.

• Anthony Selden, John Kampfner, Philip Stephens: The Blair Factor
  Kampfner's writing in New Statesman is usually pretty sound, IIRC, and this could be a really good debate. (I usually find Jogn Pilger a bit too biased, so I'll probably give him a miss.)

• Mark Haddon With William Shaw
  Have just finished reading The Curious Incident... and was very intrigued. Might go to this if I can get a ticket.

• Richard Dawkins and Lalla Ward
  That's his wife, that is. I really should read my copy of The Blind Watchmaker before going to this, though.

(In the end, I saw none of them. Ah well, next year... :)
