Useful links in the myriad network of assorted UK Parliament (UKP) sites.

Official Sites

  • Search all UKP minutes and documents
Hansard Society (but better to use TheyWorkForYou.com, below. In a properly-connected political world, the official site would return the link to TWFY, of course...)

  • Find papers and publications
    Her Majesty's Stationery Office

  • One to watch?
Democracy Forum - they don't have a .gov.uk, but that doesn't stop it from being a uk gov site. Watch that space.

  • What is the GSI? Pending investigation...
  • Ditto for GovTalk.

Unofficial Sites

  • TheyWorkForYou - "Wrapper" for the Hansard Society site to make it more accessible, more searchable, commentable, RSS-able, etc etc etc.

  • Downing Street Says - Neat, crisp round-ups of the PMOS' daily journalist briefing, blog-style.

  • Public Whip - Find out how an MP has voted, and investigate parliamentary discussions. Smooth.

  • Freedom of Information Act Blog - news on the UK FOIA, and FOIAs around the world.

  • APLAWS+ - This is one of the software suites being used to develop standards-compliant local government sites. I include it here for 3 reasons...

    1. It's an example of the governing meeting technology to meet the governed (on a large, organised scale (which may be its downfall))
    2. I'm working with it a lot
    3. I want to see where this page gets to on Google...

See my notes on Aplaws+.
